COVID-19’s RESTRICTIONS DON’T AFFECT TRAFFIC OF GOODS IN SPAIN

The Government of Spain declared the State of Alarm on 14 March 2020 ordering people to stay at home unless they have to buy food or medicine or go to work. All non-essential shops are closed along with bars, restaurants, cafes and cinemas. Supermarkets, small food shops, pharmacies, petrol stations, pet supply shops and banks are among those businesses that can remain open.
Such restrictions do NOT affect the traffic of goods.

All the ports of General State Interest are strategic infrastructures by their own definition, some of them also being critical infrastructures. All of them are guarantors of the operation of services that are defined as essential and therefore must continue to operate, guaranteeing supply by facilitating the flow of merchandise in them

Crew changes are strongly advised against, in order to prevent a potential spread to the crew on board.

So far, the state of alarm expects to last till April 25th.
