CEPSA Starts ULSFO Supply in Algeciras Bay

Compañía Española de Petróleos, S.A.U. (CEPSA) today announced it has begun selling 0.10 percent maximum sulfur, Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant ULSFO bunkers in the Algeciras Bay.

While so-called “hybrid” bunkers do not correspond to a specific ISO8217 specification, CEPSA says their product will comply with ISO RMD 80 parameters, but with the lower sulfur content of max. 0.10 percent sulfur.

The product was said to also be compatible with MGO.

Exact pricing was not given, but the supplier says it will be sold at a discount to MGO.

CEPSA’s is the first bunker supplier to have this product available in this location.
