Cie Automotive sells its biofuel plants for 13.6 million to Gunvor

Cie Automotive has sold its two biofuels production plants to the Gunvor group for 13.6 million euros,

The transaction includes the Bionor and Biosur plants, located in Berantevilla (Álava) and Palos de la Frontera (Huelva)

The company had interrupted the entire biofuel production activity by the end of 2018 and was available for sale as part of its strategy to achieve the targets set out in its strategic plan for the period between 2016 and 2020, allowing them to concentrate the efforts on the automotive sector.

Gunvor is one of the largest independent firms in the energy trade business, with 1,600 employees in twenty countries. Its main venues are located in Amsterdam, Geneva and Nicosia. Its assets include the refineries of Ingolstadt (Germany), Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium) , as well as participations in port terminals, oil pipelines, oil platforms and mines.
