DISA EXPANDS TO URUGUAY

The Canarian oil company, based in Tenerife, reached an agreement with the Brazilian oil giant Petrobras for the acquisition of its fuel distribution businesses, convenience stores, lubricants, fertilizers and aviation fuels in Uruguay.
Disa, one of the four largest oil companies in Spain, will become the second largest fuel distributor in Uruguay, with a market share of 24% and a network of 88 active service stations.

Disa already had renewable activities in Chile, and last summer it gave another boost to its business in Portugal with the purchase of Pio.
The entry into Uruguay places the total number of service stations of the Spanish group above 930, and reinforces the internationalization strategy of the Spanish energy company that began three years ago with the construction and operation of photovoltaic electricity generation plants together with other businesses in the energy sector.
