ENAGAS PLANTS AT FULL CAPACITY FOR 2020

Enagas’ six operating regasification plants in Spain will operate to the maximum of their possibilities until at least September, which guarantees a cheap gas supply for consumers, because the company has already contracted 90% of the available slots, while the remaining 10 % will be auctioned monthly. Only a certain reserve will be kept to cover system needs. The Technical Manager of the Gas System (GTS) held an auction last February in which hired 118 slots (times and services for the discharge of liquefied natural gas from methane tankers), after receiving almost 300 requests, practically three times more of what had been offered. In Spain there are 250 slots available for hire per year.
