ENDESA PLANS TO COMMENCE BUNKERING LNG IN ALGECIRAS IN 2021

The strait of Gibraltar is the second world bunkering enclave supplying 2.4 million tons per year, and in view of the raising amount of LNG fuelled vessels ENAGAS is planning to build a 10.000 m3 LNG storage area in Algeciras port, and one berth for vessels up to 270.000 TPM and a loading arm located at pantalán Este, Los Barrios terminal. A second berth will be built in a further stage.
Endesa will invest 13 million euros and expects to finish the works by 2021.
